FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

OUR WINES

We don’t promote wines that we feel don’t represent great value and great taste, that’s why we taste everything you see on this website: whether that be with the winemaker in person; while we’re traveling overseas; or simply sampling bottles that get sent to us.

Absolutely – we check every single bottle for label/capsule damage, neck/shoulder level, signs of leaking etc before posting them on our website (and then they’re checked again before we ship them). Some of these special wines we’ve aged ourselves (in perfect cellar conditions) and others we’ve purchased carefully either directly from the winery themselves or from private cellars we’ve visited to ensure the quality and provenance of the wines themselves.

Not always. Sometimes we keep a few special things aside or wait until certain wines sell from the website before updating it. Please get in touch if there are wines you see that you’d like to know if we have more of or have something similar to – wine@evino.com.au

Absolutely (we do this all the time) – we’d love to feature more wines on our website, but that’s a work in progress. Please get in touch if there’s a particular wine you’re after and we’ll do our best to track it down for you – wine@evino.com.au

DELIVERY & SHIPPING

We use Fastway Couriers (and sometimes Australia Post) for the majority of our deliveries. Understandably, sometimes the wait times between collection / processing / delivery do blow-out, however we speak daily with our drivers and the depot to gauge if there is going to be any major delays, which we then communicate to our customers. We have tracking numbers for each parcel that we send, so we can always stay updated on a delivery’s progress.

This rarely happens, but sometimes we do get it wrong at our end and we apologise for this – please get in touch with us so we’re able to fix the situation – wine@evino.com.au

We’re based in Geelong and still offer delivery (free-of-charge) but if you’re local and you’d like to see our smiley faces to collect your wine in person, please get in touch – wine@evino.com.au

Absolutely (we do this all the time) – please get in touch with us to organise this for you – wine@evino.com.au

(NB* for customers overseas, all pricing on our website is in Australian dollars / AUD)

Absolutely – please get in touch with us to discuss this more – wine@evino.com.au

WINE PROBLEMS

Although we are generally notified of this by the courier prior to you receiving your delivery, please get in touch with us immediately so we’re able to organise collection/replacement for you – wine@evino.com.au

It’s our goal to bring you the best possible wine in the best possible condition, so we will replace any bottles that have been effected by cork taint (TCA) / oxidation and/or any other faults that can sometimes (unfortunately) appear in a wine.

Get in touch with us and we’ll organise a replacement – wine@evino.com.au (we request that you please keep three quarters of the faulty in your procession – we’ll arrange this be collected back from you when you’re replacement arrives) We do sell some wines that are made using natural winemaking techniques (which is sometimes quite extreme) that can vary in taste away from many conventional wines (that occasionally display smells and favours similar to faults). We are always available to chat about more if you’re interested or uncertain.

Oh no! Please get in touch with us immediately so we can help fix this – we can’t have you drinking something you’re not enjoying! Our goal is to help you drink better (not worse) – wine@evino.com.au
